I love to think about the ways we can improve our lives. What changes can we make that will have a subtle or significant impact in the way we flow through life?

Personally, I’ve found that movement and breath are some of the most powerful tools we have to explore, which can help us discover more about who we really are, become aware of the consciousness that we are, and enliven us with strength, vitality, and power.

Movement can be freedom, as we start to pay close attention to this dance and play through space and time. What are we capable of with our beautiful bodies, the form, the artistic expression, the angles and curvature?

Movement is potential and possibility. My love for movement is manifested in a devotion to the worlds of Yoga and Jiu Jitsu. Otherwise, every other moment, also consists of an opportunity to pay attention to our flow and rhythm. The body is brilliant, as we learn how to listen. We can cultivate a greater capacity to pay attention.

What do we hold in our bodies? The fear, the emotions, the pain, the love, the curiosity, the body holds it all. We can learn to let go, flow freely, dance and dance into light.

I know that I know so little about Yoga but I’m so curious about it. I’m excited to learn all I can in this beautiful little life. Yoga is a way of life and ultimately, I want a lasting change in my perception.

I’ve been going deep into Ashtanga, Bikrom, and Baptise. These various styles contain so much power. Learning to breathe through the difficulty is empowering. Our breath is incredible, really. In the most difficult of moments, we can return to the sacred breath, and simply pay attention. Attention can be cultivated and practiced.

Jiu Jitsu and the world of grappling. The places our bodies can go, the submission, the flow, the dance, the strength, the exhaustion. Jiu Jitsu strikes the soul. An endless practice, always more depth, more to learn, more to see, and more to discover. We can move through the world without knowing something and all of the sudden, we awaken to and realize something we’ve been missing, overlooking, or ignorant of this whole time. The posture, the leverage, the weight distribution, the vulnerability, the breath, the endurance, it goes on and on.

There is so much to learn. It is epic. I’m stoked for this exploration.

I’m grateful to the teachers. I’m grateful to my professors, mentors, and guides.

Thank you.
